Accomplishments...
Conceived, edited, and began publishing monthly newsletters
for six of our clients, among them, three national associations
and a local Foundation.
Set up and maintained a CEU monitoring system
for an organization of over 15,000 members.
Helped a state association redesign its bimonthly magazine,
established advertising guidelines, and tracked advertising
payables to avoid publishing ads for vendors who were
delinquent.
Devised committee performance forms and worksheets
for a professional association with a large committee
structure.
Created a timetable/calendar system for all
our clients' annual meetings. This timetable spells
out who is responsible for doing what and when.
Conducted strategic planning sessions for several
of our clients who were in a state of flux as to where
their associations were headed.
Working as a team with our clients' lobbyists, we instituted
legislative "Hotlines" for our clients
to keep them current on their specific legislation.
These "Hotlines" spell out in terse
format what is happening, how it affects the members,
and what they can do about the situation. We also assist
with blast faxes and emails.
Helped all our clients prepare budgets and cash
projections with detailed backup for each line item.
Following a decision to proceed with a certification
program, KMG staff worked with a national association
to determine policies and procedures, outline respective
responsibilities, and schedule necessary test development
and administrative stages.
Enabled a local association with a shoestring budget
to publish a top quality newsletter through the use
of desktop publishing.
Assisted several of our clients in designing a questionnaire
for and final format of a comprehensive membership
directory, including listings of member specialties
and geographic cross references for easy networking
and referrals. More recently, we have worked with several
clients to establish on-line membership directories
and referral systems.
Introduced our clients to the concept of "Board
and Committee Orientation and Planning Meetings"
wherein members of the newly appointed committees meet
with the Board of Directors at the beginning of each
association year for a brief orientation to set goals
and objectives. Membership involvement and productivity
increased visibly in the first year.
Set up a discount overnight mailing service
for a national association whose constituency were heavy
postal users and whose board was seeking additional
services to offer potential members. Set up a variety
of new member services for several associations,
including discount travel programs and a "free"
legal service.
Helped mobilize the members of several associations
to fight sales tax and other industry specific legislation
in Florida. Lobbying strategy included setting
up meetings with editorial boards of newspapers, appearing
on radio talk shows, and blanketing the media with our
message.
Assisted our clients in creation and maintenance
of Websites, ranging from low-cost, low-volume home
pages with links to sophisticated, high-end sites with
search capabilities, elaborate design, and multiple
links to high-end, interactive online shopping carts
and job banks.
